When a body does not change its position with respect to its surrounding then it is said to be

in the state of rest.

Motion:

When a body continuously changes its position with respect to its surrounding then it is said

to be in motion.

Distance:

If a Body changes its position at every point is called distance.

It is Scalar quantity & its S.I unit is meter (m).

It is denoted by S.
