 Al-Beruni was born in a small town Berun in present Uzbekistan in 5 September 973 A.D

and died in 13 December 1048 Ghazni Afghanistan

 He is father of comparative religion and modern geodesy (earth science accurate

measurement and understanding).

 In 1017 he travelled to India, he studied the language, religion and philosophy of Hindus

and wrote a book on them and named ‘’Tareekh ul Hind’’ so He is called founder of

indology.

 He Rejected (refuted) many theories and define them from new direction.

 He rejected the theory that earth is flat and practically proved that earth is round.

 He determined the densities of different substances.

 He wrote more than one hundred and fifty books on various subjects such as

mathematics, physics, cosmology, geography, history culture and civilization,

archaeology, comparative religious, geology chemistry and biology and many others.

 He gave the method of determining the longitude and latitude of a place.

 He also found densities on various metals.

 While he was in Pind Dadan Khan, a village in Pakistan, he determined the

circumference of the earth by his own invented method.

 He told that earth is floating in space just like grape floating in water.
