Equilibrium:
When does not have any acceleration neither linear nor angular, it is said to be
equilibrium. (A chair lift hanging on supporting ropes).
Two types of Equilibrium:
Static and Dynamic Equilibrium.
Static Equilibrium: When a body is at rest is called static equilibrium. Any body which is at
(earth) rest is called equilibrium.
A wall hanging, building and bridge are examples of static equilibrium.
Dynamic Equilibrium: When a body having constant velocity is called dynamic equilibrium.
A body does not have acceleration neither linear nor angular is said to be dynamic
equilibrium.
The rotation of earth is dynamic equilibrium.
